Artist Statement

This is the second in a series of modular quilts built using the same basic building blocks. Like siblings, all the quilts in the series share the same DNA, yet each has its own unique expression.

The Pink House, an abandoned home marooned in the middle of a salt marsh at the entrance to Plum Island, Massachusetts, sat empty and decaying for decades, slowly yielding to weather, water, and time. Finally demolished in the spring of 2025, its erasure has left a gap in both landscape and memory.
